During the X Italian Antarctic expedition (1994/95), 26 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Cenozoic geodynamics in the Ross Sea area: volcanism" in northern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic and volcanic rocks. The investigated regions are within Coulman Island SS 58-60/6, Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9 and Mount Murchison SS 58-60/5 USGS sheets.

During the XXII Italian Antarctic expedition (2006/07), 33 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the ANDRILL project in southern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. The investigated regions are within Ross Island ST 57-60/6* sheet. Project: Antarctic Drilling Project.

During the XXXIII and XXXIV Italian Antarctic expeditions (2017/18, 2018/19), 258 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Completion of the geological cartography in Victoria Land and integration of the cartographic material into a digital dataset" in northern and southern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. The investigated regions are within Convoy Range ST 57-60/1, Franklin Island ST 57-60/2* and Mount Joyce SS 55-57/16 USGS sheets.

During the XI Italian Antarctic expedition (1995/96), 525 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the international GEOMAUD project in central Dronning Maud Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic and metamorphic rocks. Project: Geoscientific expedition to Dronning Maud Land 1995/96.

During the XXXII and XXXIV Italian Antarctic expeditions (2016/17, 2018/19), 91 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the REGGAE project in northern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and fossil woods. The investigated regions are within Coulman Island SS 58-60/6, Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9, Mount Murchison SS 58-60/5 and Mount Soza SR 57-58/15 USGS sheets. During the XXVII Italian Antarctic expedition (2011/12), 143 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Xenoliths and basic lavas for the knowledge of the C-O-H system in the lithospheric mantle of the polar regions" in northern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic and metamorphic rocks. The investigated regions are within Cape Hallett SS 58-60/2, Coulman Island SS 58-60/6, Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9 and Mount Murchison SS 58-60/5 USGS sheets.

During the XV, XVI and XVII Italian Antarctic expeditions (1999/2000, 2000/01, 2001/02), 259 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Cenozoic magmatism in the area north of Tucker Glacier, northern Victoria Land, Antarctica" in northern Victoria Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. The investigated regions are within Cape Adare SR 59-60/13*, Cape Hallett SS 58-60/2, Coulman Island SS 58-60/6, Freyberg Mountains SS 58-60/1 and Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9 USGS sheets.

During the XV Italian Antarctic expedition (1999/2000), 213 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the BACKTAM project in Oates Land and George V Land. They include intrusive, subvolcanic, volcanic, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. The investigated regions are within Australian Antarctic Territory - Ross Dependency - Sr57-58, Australian Antarctic Territory - Sq55-56, Australian Antarctic Territory - Sr55-56 and Australian Antarctic Territory - Terre Adelie - Sq53-54 sheets.
