During the XIX Italian Antarctic expedition (2003/04), one tephra layer has been sampled within the aim of the project "Antarctic meteorites" in northern Victoria Land. The investigated region is within Welcome Mountain SS 55-57/4 USGS sheet.

During the XIII Italian Antarctic expedition (1997/98), 5 tephra layers have been sampled within the aim of the project "Concentration of meteorites: identification, collection, study" in northern Victoria Land. The investigated region is within Freyberg Mountains SS 58-60/1 USGS sheet.

During the XV and XVII Italian Antarctic expeditions (1999/2000, 2001/02), 19 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Concentration of meteorites: identification, collection, study" in northern Victoria Land. They include intrusive rocks and tephra. The investigated regions are within Freyberg Mountains SS 58-60/1 and Welcome Mountain SS 55-57/4 USGS sheets.

CRP-1 gravel-fraction core samples are clasts collected from the CRP-1 drill core (Cape Roberts) and are now preserved at the repository of the Museo Nazionale dell’Antartide. Clasts include intrusive, metamorphic, sedimentary and volcanic rocks.

During the X Italian Antarctic expedition (1994/95), 42 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the project "Geological survey and sampling of Jurassic volcanics" in northern Victoria Land. They include subvolcanic and volcanic rocks. The investigated regions are within Mount Joyce SS 55-57/16 USGS sheet.

During the XXXIII Italian Antarctic expedition (2017/18), 18 rocks have been sampled within the aim of the AntMet project in northern and southern Victoria Land. They include intrusive and subvolcanic rocks and glacial deposits. The investigated regions are within Convoy Range ST 57-60/1, Reeves Névé SS 55-57/12 and Welcome Mountain SS 55-57/4 USGS sheets. During the XXXVIII Italian Antarctic expedition (2022/23), 126 rocks have been sampled within the aim of “MAGIC” project in northern Victoria Land. They include volcanic, igneous and metamorphic rocks, and sediment. The investigated regions are within Cape Hallett SS58-60/2, Freyberg Mountains SS 58-60/1, Mount Murchison SS 58-60/5 and Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9 USGS sheets. Project: Magma-Ice interaction: late Miocene ice thickness and eruption tempo in northern Victoria Land.

During the XXXVIII Italian Antarctic expedition (2022/23), 25 rocks and 50 bags of sands have been sampled within the aim of "DISGELI" project in northern Victoria Land. The rock samples include plutonic, volcanic, metamorphic and igneous rocks and sediments. The investigated regions are within the Mount Melbourne SS 58-60/9 USGS sheet.
